Accessibility Statement
First State Pride is committed to a website that everyone in our community can use.
Last updated: September 2026
First State Pride, Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people of all abilities. Accessibility is part of how we live our mission of belonging, and we work to make sure everyone in the First State can find what they need and take part.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These internationally recognized guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor differences.
What we do
As we build and maintain this site, we work to support these practices:
- Clear, readable text with strong color contrast between text and background.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- A site that can be navigated with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
- Semantic, well-structured pages and a skip-to-content link.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences.
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and desktops.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time fix. We continue to review and improve the site, and some content or third-party features embedded on our pages may not yet fully meet our standards. We welcome your patience and your feedback as we keep improving.
Share feedback or report a barrier
If you run into a barrier on our website, or if you need information in a different format, please tell us. Your feedback helps us do better, and we take it seriously. You can reach us through our contact page, and we will do our best to respond promptly and provide the information or assistance you need.
